Driven by an obsessive hatred for Neo and a desire for absolute nothingness, Smith began copying himself onto any digital entity he could touch. He assimilated other Agents, bluepills, and even rogue programs like Seraph's allies, creating an army of identical clones that all spoke with one voice. This hive mind grew exponentially, turning the Matrix into a gray, decaying wasteland where individuality was erased.
